“Reflections can make for a beautiful photograph if handled in a sensitive way and under the right conditions. I had camped overnight on the banks of the Androscoggin River and I awoke to the serenity and silence of a cold still dawn. As the sun cast its first rays, the soft morning light illuminated the glass-like surface of the water–there was not a breath of wind to mar the perfection. White fluffy clouds hovering over the treetops added to the idyllic mood of the composition and I took a series of shots inspired by the mirror like reflections. Just as the light began to change and the day set in, the wind picked up considerably and the tranquil scene disappeared before my eyes”.
